Surprise!!

Well, this morning I bailed on some of the stuff on my morning routine list.  Didn't do the floor or stovetop.  Also, my plan was to do my devotion when I stopped for lunch.

Chickens and dogs fed and watered.  Laundry done and put away. Bathrooms swished and swiped.

I was determined to get outside and continue painting the outside of our home before it got hot.  I did get that accomplished. *high-five*  Got started painting a little before 7 and painted for a little more than 3 hours.

Came in to eat breakfast and  be sure My Drama Queen was up and ready to register for classes at the community college at her 11:00 a.m. registration time.  She got started on that process and discovered that we had to hand deliver a couple required forms to the college. (I called yesterday and was told she could register and that those forms could be taken in within a few days. *growl* ) No, no we could not fax them.

Okay, got cleaned up and headed into town.  (We live about 45 minutes from the college.)  We got there and got her registered.  She was able to get in all of the classes she wanted and she ended up with a great schedule. Yay!

Afterward, we went to the local mall and shared Chinese food.  It was great to have a little time to get caught up and do something together.  We shopped for new Converse shoes for My Drama Queen.  Since she is so tiny, with feet to match,  we struck out.  We will have to order them from Converse online.  At least that is an option.

On our way back home I dropped My Drama Queen off at a friend's house to spend a little time.

My two younger munchkins have been having a wonderful time with their aunt and uncle and two cousins.  They are traveling home today.  I will go and meet them soon and then get to hear all the stories from their visit.  I can't wait!  On the way to pick them up I can mail a package to my oldest son, My Musician.  It contains spices that I know he won't buy for himself but would use if he had them and a gift card to Subway.  If I have time I'm going to stop in a consignment shop and look for an antique looking wash stand/chest type piece of furniture to go in one of my bathrooms.

Once we are home The Love of My Life will be getting home, My Drama Queen will be home and it will be time for dinner.  The evening will kick in and with the exception of enjoying my family and my nighttime routine I won't have any time to get anything else in.

Looking at the day--tasks vs. relationship time:

Didn't get my devotional done-ouch.  I always miss that so much.
Didn't do bad in the task department
Did get to spend time with My Drama Queen and plan to spend the evening enjoying the family
Figuring in an unexpected trip to town, all in all, not too bad :)

Tomorrow is a new day.  Yay!  We'll see what it brings!
